During counseling sessions, often an individual, couple or family will
share sincere needs they have. Not having the funds to help, I appreciate
the privilege to pray with these hurting people and for their needs.
To pray, "Lord I ask you to meet this need in Jesus name"...
is acceptable. But, to add "...meet this need through me" is giving God a
trusted vessel to provide through. This prayer with understanding
Matthew 6:1-33 gives me total peace knowing that God is in control, and
will provide. And just maybe, He will provide for them through me in an
unforeseen manner as He has done so many times.
I have been blessed Should God choose to provide from some unforeseen
manner, or provide through someone I shared with or through another... I
am at peace with myself and with God!
