The Purpose and Focus of this program is
directed toward Deaf individuals who fail in
speech therapy or never had the opportunity
early in life. Failing is to mean "not having
learned to read and write as a second
language".
The materials developed help deaf children and
deaf adults to construct their bridge of
communication to the hearing members of
society through the written language.
Understanding the Psychology of Deafness
as it pertains to the thought process of deaf
people, is required in the research and
development of adequate materials.
